In 2019, the organization established the “EREOstyle” social enterprise, which is engaged in the production of handmade souvenirs. The name was created from the English abbreviation “EREO” of the NGO “Equal rights, equal opportunities” for people with disabilities, combined with the word “Style.”
The main goal of establishing the social enterprise is to create employment opportunities for persons with disabilities, support their economic inclusion, and contribute to the implementation of the organization’s statutory objectives. At the same time, the initiative aims to serve as an example for employers in overcoming existing stereotypes related to hiring persons with disabilities.
EREOstyle products combine Armenian cultural heritage, handmade craftsmanship, and meaningful social impact.
Fabric dolls with Armenian motifs
Made from fabrics of various colors and illustrations, approximately 16–20 cm in size. The dolls contain small sachets filled with natural tea herbs, such as thyme, mint, spearmint, rosehip, hawthorn, and others. These sachets are placed inside the doll’s clothing; in the case of boy dolls, they are located in a backpack on the back.
This unique design allows the souvenir to also be used as a source of aromatic herbs for making tea. The price is AMD 3000.
Handmade wooden jewelry
Necklaces, earrings, pendants, as well as refrigerator magnets. The items feature unique designs and fully hand-painted images, using wood, gouache, and varnish.
Prices range from AMD 1000 to 3000.
